How To Convert
PC Fonts For Use On A Mac Using TT-Converter
TT-Convert converts between
formats, not between font types. It will convert back
and forth from PC to Mac TrueType and from PC to Mac
PostScript. It cannot convert between TrueType and PostScript
formats.
1. Open TT-Converter and from within the program,
open the .ttf file you wish to convert OR drag your
.ttf files onto the TT-Converter icon.
2. A dialog box will now appear: if the highlighted
box ("Save Converted Font As"), doesn't
already have a name in it, type the Font Name.
3. Click "Customize Font," another dialog
box will appear.
4. Enter the name of the font into the "Font
Name" box.
5. Click "OK" in the current dialog box.
6. Click "Save" in the next dialog box.
This should have successfully converted
a PC font for use on a Mac.
How To Install
Your Newly Converted Fonts On Mac
Drag the font(s) to the "Font Folder" inside
your System Folder OR simply drag the font(s) to your
System Folder, and click "OK."
NOTES:
1. Do not create new folders or put fonts into new
folders within the Font Folder.
2. For best results, install the fonts before opening
the program you want to use it.
3. Sometimes, although rarely, newly added fonts
do not show up in your fonts lists until you restart
your Mac.
